Integrated video card question?
If the integrated video card on my motherboard was to fry would the rest of the motherboard still work?|||Conceivably, yes. But you'd need to install a video card to take over the lost functionality and test the motherboard to know for sure.|||maybe. it depends on the individual situation. usually if your graphics card is on the motherbaord w/e caused it to fry would also cause the motherboard to stop working(and probably some other stuff too). but it is possible that it still works.|||Usually if the intergrated video card fails, it is not the card itself. It is usually the North-Bridge or South-Bridge on the board. If these fail, usually from overheating, you need a new motherboard.
